Hello and trust this meets the Rank math well!

I have observed that Google is using the website tagline as title and auto generating the page description instead of using what was set with Rank Math. particularly, I have observed this on the home page but don’t know if it’s affecting other pages.

Initially, A hentry schema was added by wordpress and was used to add the title and page description, after checking online i found a way of disabling it.

I currently don’t know if this issue is from Rank Math or WordPress. Below is my site url

Thanks in advance and await your kind help.

    Hello @mogeh,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math support, and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

Please note that it is a pretty common thing with Google these days. It happens with 70% of the results that even if everything’s fine, Google decides to show a different meta information for your search keyword, there is nothing you can do as Google sometimes ignores the custom meta info altogether and show something from the page’s content that matches the search intent better.

To understand more about this, please check this article: https://rankmath.com/kb/different-meta-title-and-description/

If the data you have entered is already showing, then the best you can do is optimize your meta title and description to try and match the intent of the search/keyword.

    Hope that helps.
