• Hello,

first of all compliments for this great plugin. I have used it on several websites and am completely satisfied. In these projects I only use Google Analytics.
On a new website, on the other hand, I use Google Tag Manager and no matter what I do, the script is always loaded directly, whether you accept it in the cookie banner or not.

In the Google Tag Manager I also created a custom event for cmplz_event_0 or cmplz_event_marketing. I don’t understand why the Google Tag Manager script is still started directly and not blocked first.

    Best regards,
    Chris

    Hi @cmsgeek,

Thank you for the kind words about the plugin!

Complianz initalizes an empty GTM container without the DataLayer, so that nothing is sent to Google yet & no cookies are set prior to consent, unless you are in debug mode (or when logged in as admin).

Hope it clarifies, just let us know if you have any further questions.
    Kind regards,
    Jarno

Where i can check if there are a empty data layer? I also see google tag manger before user accept cookies – also i see something from facebook but I didn’t add social media include. Why is that in my source code?

    See my screenshot.

    Hi @messaone,

Could you start a new thread? We lose track on resolved threads.

Please let us know if you’re logged-in to Facebook when visiting the website, I don’t have Facebook appearing in the source.

    regards Aert
