What exactly do you want to do? If you want to add the tracking code to Google Tag Manager, use the ‘Add mnaually’ option and copy the code.

If you want to host gtm.js locally, then I’m sorry, but that can’t be done.

@daanvandenbergh I supposed @rooksads has the same problem with me. I implemented GA through GTM, so there is no GA code on the website.

What do you mean “Add manually”? Just copy the code and use it in GTM instead of standard GA code, am i correct ?

CAOS had an ‘Add Manually’ option. Select that, copy the generated code and use it in GTM, indeed.

If we use Google Tag manager, should we set an asset to gtag.js?

Does adding Google Tag Manager via COAS using ‘Add manually’ have any advantage over just placing JS snippets into HTML?

I’m not sure what you mean with

should we set an asset to gtag.js?

It doesn’t have any advantage. If you’re adding CAOS’ code to Google Tag Manager, you’re loading the locally hosted file, from an externally hosted gtm.js script.

I realise I suggested in my reply from a month ago. It must’ve been a slow day ??
