Google suspended email

    Ever since I started using this plugin to send email from gmail I get a suspended notice from google every month. stating “Google detected suspicious activity and suspended the account.” I then have to reinstate the account very time. Is there a way to stop this and do you know why it is happening. I asked google and they have no clue.

    Hi @berkmh,

    Thanks for reaching out! I could not find similar reports from other customers.

    Did you configure the Gmail mailer or Other SMTP mailer option? You may switch mailers and retest.

    If you’re sending bulk emails, I would suggest you configure an alternative mailer according to your email sending requirement. In case it helps, you can see all the available mailers from here.

    We are having the same issue here. It began about 10 days ago. Our gmail got reinstated 3 days later, but it happened again tonight.

    We are not sending bulk emails. The Forms filled out from our wp site go to “gmail #1” and are found in the sent folder of thet email, and being forwarded to “gmail #2”.

    Only 1 of the 2 gmails got suspended. The primary one did NOT. I can see the completed forms in the “sent” folder of the primary email. The gmail they are being sent 2 is the one that keeps getting suspended.

    I do NOT have a forward or filer on the gmail either.

    Hi @besttrtclinic,

    Are you connecting to Gmail with the Google Mailer? Or are you using the Other SMTP mailer?

    There are several reasons Google may suspend an account. Take a look at this page on the Google website. It goes over the various types of “Suspicious” alerts and what triggers them: https://support.google.com/a/answer/9104586
