    Hello,

my website has been online for about 4 years and I have been using Yoast SEO for most of the time, thank you for the great plugin.

My site was still using WordPress 4.93 a few days ago, so Yoast is not the latest version. A few days ago, I updated my WordPress and Yoast to the latest version, and then i also completed the Seo data optimization in Yoast.

But today, when I used Site: command to check my site on google, I found that some of my articles are no longer indexed by Google, and some of them can’t even be found in the search results. At the same time, I used the Url inspection tool of Google search console to check some of my articles and the result is normal.(Could it be because there is a delay, so the result is not reflected?)

What should I do now to get my articles indexed by Google as normally?

    Thank you.

    Hello @ensonc

Thanks for using the Yoast SEO plugin. I checked the post you shared, and it’s not in search results though it’s in the post sitemap. Since there are no errors reported in the Google Search Console, you might want to wait a while. Also, you should consider rewriting your title, as the current one looks spammy.

    @maybellyne Thanks for your reply.

It’s not just only one article having problem. Those articles have been indexed and can be found in the Search Result until I updated WordPress and the Plugins to the latest version.

Do you know why this is happening?
What else do I have to do besides wait?

    Thank you.

I recommend requesting indexing for those URLs. And if the Google Search Console reports any errors you do not understand, you can share with us.

I was using the old version Worpress 4.9.23, so at this time my Yoast was the latest version that support 4.9.23.

When i upgrade WordPress to 6.3 i upgraded the Yoast to the latest version, are there anything I should change or notice about the settings in a version that is so different?

Upgrading your Yoast SEO and WordPress version is not directly connected with your posts being removed from search results. Since Google Search Console doesn’t report errors, you must give it time, as you can’t force it. You may also consider re-submitting your sitemap.

Thanks, i have already re-submitted my sitemap few days ago.

May I ask, based on your experience, how long will it take to get back to normal?

    Hello @ensonc

Using Yoast SEO does not guarantee high rankings and traffic for your site because Google Rankings depend on many factors. These factors include server load, page speed, cache configuration, mobile versions, responsiveness, and the site’s content, many falling outside the plugin’s scope.

Optimizing your content will help increase organic traffic and earn higher rankings in the search results. Please refer to this definitive guide and start optimizing with the following suggestions:

If the above suggestions have not resulted in higher rankings, we recommend hiring a local SEO consultancy company.

    Hello @maybellyne

    Thanks for you suggestion.

So you think it’s normal for multiple articles to disappear on Google SERP at about the same time? And the originally ranking of those articles are all on the first page in search result. I started this site in 2018 and I have not encountered this situation until recently.

    Thank you.

As I recommended earlier, consider re-writting your SEO titles as they appear spammy. You may be violating Spam policies for Google web search.

Hi, have you fixed it? Are your articles back on google SERP?
