Sorry if I open this question again but the specific topic is closed to new replies. I find this plugin excellent and we use it since years by now. I know the error in GSC regarding missing information in VideoObject Schema is not the end of the world and that Google ignores it… but it’s annoying to see lots of error in SGC each day :((

I wonder if it is possible, for non Pro users, to simply deactivate the declaration of the structured data for any video type. What could be the problem to do this?

We don’t need the Pro version at the moment (the free one is enough for us) and buying it for just this issue seems to us a little money wasting, no? I don’t want to be polemic at all, don’t misunderstand me, the price is honest but I don’t understand why not to solve this issue like this…

    Thanks for your attention.

No, absolutely not. It’s in fact a perfect reason among many others reasons like this one for example:

I find this plugin excellent, and we use it since years by now

I may change my mind in this but I may offer the option to disable SEO data generation completely for those who get bothered by the messages who do not want to manually complete it or purchase the Pro Addon. Then you can go back to have no SEO data at all not even the data that free plugin generates.

I am also considering removing the SEO data completely from the free plugin and make a clear cut that it’s a paid only feature. But I probably get murdered for it because I can imagine the outrage when people learn that I dared to remove a feature (even some may consider it incomplete) form the free plugin. Should have never put it in this way.

You can help testing the upcoming version with the option to disable here.

If you disable, no SEO data, no errors. If you want all auto filled you have to use Pro.

Ok thanks Nico, your answer is exhaustive!
I’ll try the beta and see what’s happen in GSC.
I repeat that I don’t want to be polemic on this issue, it was just a curiosity of mine :))

    thanks again for your work.
    Davide.
