Hi taflo5,
I assume the slug is generated at either the WordPress core level or AnsPress that handles it. The SEO Framework doesn’t alter the slug, it only uses it to generate a canonical URL.
The mistaken URL in Google is caused by a mistake at Google itself.
For these two reasons, it can’t be WordPress, AnsPress or The SEO Framework’s fault:
a) A 301 redirect is performed when following the shortlink. This means the URL is permanently pointing to another place, and Google should treat it accordingly.
b) The SEO Framework outputs a correct Canonical URL for Google to index after the redirect. Google must/should check this URL and follow it if necessary.
I’m afraid you’d have to sign up for Google Webmasters and get this solved through the Google Index > Remove URLs
and Crawl > Fetch As Google
pages.
Or you could wait it out, it should resolve itself within a week to three months.
I hope this clears things up and I’m sorry I can’t be of any more assistance at this point, good luck!
