The new version of Google Sitemaps (3.0.1) is getting me errors on all of my blogs:

    ——————————————————————————–
Warning: fsockopen() [function.fsockopen]: php_network_getaddresses: getaddrinfo failed: Temporary failure in name resolution in {wp-dir}/wp-includes/class-snoopy.php on line 1150

Warning: fsockopen() [function.fsockopen]: unable to connect to submissions.ask.com:80 in {wp-dir}/wp-includes/class-snoopy.php on line 1150

Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at {wp-dir}/wp-includes/class-snoopy.php:1150) in {wp-dir}/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 391
    ——————————————————————————–

Deactivating the plugin solves the problem but thats not an option. I Googled it and it seems some people is getting the same.

    Any help here?

    Thanks

  • I am looking for an answer on this, too.

I get it whenever I approve a comment. I’ve had it for weeks – I guess when I made a sitemaps upgrade.

Turn off the option for it to send the sitemap to Ask.com, since you can’t seem to connect to it.

Exactly Otto42. Uncheck Ask.com in the sitemap generator configuration. Notthe plugin’s fault. This is an Ask.com fault.
