Google Site Verification:Server Error

Installed Google Site Verification Plugin on two sites both using the Genesis Framework. The first site was perfect and my site was verified in a minute. The second site gave me the following error report on Google Chrome:
SERVER ERROR
The website encountered an error while retrieving https://www.fitforyoupilates.com/wp-admin/options-general.php?page=googleverification&verify=verify. It may be down for maintenance or configured incorrectly.
On Firefox I get no response, just a blank white screen. I do not have any Cache plugins installed. both sites have similar plugins and are on the same framework.
