The Site Kit is generating this error message. Does anyone know what this is about?
    Thanks!

Hi @barenco thanks for getting in touch and sharing the error message you are receiving. To help investigate this further for you please would you be able to provide the following information:

    1. Your Site Health information. You can use this form to share privately if preferred.
    2. At what point exactly are you receiving the above error message?
    3. Can you see any browser console errors at the point you see this message on screen?

If possible it would also be helpful if you could provide either a screenshot of this error message or even a screen recording. You can use services such as Imgur for screenshots or Loom for screen recordings.

This problem is the same one we have had for some time. We opened a topic about it about 7 months ago. Despite your willingness to help, there was no solution and we ended up giving up for now.
Before there was no such error message reported now. Looks like it’s a new plugin feature. I think…

@barenco sorry to hear the issue hasn’t been resolved. Could you let me know at what point you see this message and where in your Site Kit?

It would be good to rule out any possible plugin or theme conflict so would you be able to follow our troubleshooting guide and let me know if you find any conflicts.

It would also be useful to get your current hosting provider.

The error message appears when we access the “Search Console” tab. In fact, we had already given up on solving this problem since the last time, as we did all the procedures: disabling and uninstalling plugins, asking our hosting provider to do a thorough check.

@barenco I understand your frustration here with this but it would be good to keep troubleshooting this so that we can find a solution for you and any other user that may encounter the same problem in future.

Would you please be able to provide:
    – Any console errors which appear.
    – The XHR response on the screen where you encounter this error.

This could help highlight something that we can escalate internally which will help to find the cause of this issue for you.

@barenco Just checking in to see if this is still an issue for you? If so would you be able to provide the further insights requested above as they’d be very helpful in our troubleshooting efforts.

    hello adam

Sorry for the delay in responding. I’m from Petrópolis (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil). My city was hit by the rains and we have been without internet for the last few days. I will answer your questions. Thanks.

@barenco Thanks for providing the information and thanks for your patience with this while we have investigated. We have now escalated this to our engineers to investigate further via a GitHub issue which you can follow for updates here: https://github.com/google/site-kit-wp/issues/4837.

I will also update this topic when we have any further information.

@barenco Apologies for the delay in getting back to you here! Our team has done some investigation into this error and believe that it is related to misconfiguration at the hosting level. Unfortunately that’s out of the scope of support for the Site Kit plugin, so if you’re still having trouble, a good next step would be to reach out to your hosting provider to see if they can assist.

I’ll mark this topic as resolved for now, but if you have any other questions about Site Kit, please do feel free to create a new topic.

    Have a great weekend!
