Hi @matthexxx thanks for getting in touch and sorry to hear you’re having troubles setting up Site Kit. Could I please ask that you first try a reset by going to Tools > Available Tools > Reset Site Kit. Once you have reset please try the setup once more.

If you are still facing the issue after the reset then please could you share the following:

    1. Your Site Health information. You can use this form to share privately if preferred.
    2. Have you recently migrated your site or changed your domain?
    3. Do you see any console errors when this error message displays on screen?

Hello, @adamdunnage thanks for your timely response, I have carried out a reset however, the redirect still persists, I have also forwarded a copy of the site health via the form.

We haven’t carried out any migration neither is there a console error.

@matthexxx thanks for trying the reset and the information provided. I can’t see anything that stands out here so could I please ask you to try our troubleshooting steps to see if you can highlight any conflicts that could be causing this?

It would also be very helpful in this case if you could provide a screen recording of this happening. You can use a service such as Loom to do this and share the video URL here.

Hi @matthexxx thank you for the video that’s very helpful to see what’s happening. I can see that antivirus software is flagging the url you are being redirected to as ‘Blacklisted‘.

This could suggest that your site has been compromised. Although the issue occurs when clicking the ‘sign in with Google‘ button through Site Kit it doesn’t appear to be caused by the plugin itself.

I would suggest at this point running some checks yourself to check this. You could use security plugins such as WP Cerber or Wordfence to check for file integrity, to see if any files were changed for example.

This does fall out of the scope of the Site Kit support but please do let us know the results of the checks and if you have any further Site Kit questions.

As we didn’t receive a response I’ll mark this as resolved. Feel free to open a new support topic if you continue to encounter issues, or reopen this topic and we’d be happy to assist.
