Google Shopping “Product Type”

The breadcrumb itself can be added to the g:product_type field by mapping it to this attribute:

Though I think that’s not what you want. You want to pick the lowest level subcategory for your product and map that to Google’s g:product_type field, correct?

This is possibly but only in combination with the Yoast SEO plugin. The “problem” lies in the fact that most users put products in multiple main and multiple subcategories and our plugin therefore doesn’t know what product to use for your “One Category” or “Category path” attribute. This can be overcome by designating one of those categories as the primary category. Our plugin will then take the category that has been set as primary category, like this:
