    Hi,
We’re trying out the “Product Feed Pro for Woocommerce” plugin and have created a product feed for Google Shopping. However, when testing the feed Google gives us the unhelpful message “Missing Product Data”. As far as we can see, the XML file is ok so we just wondered if you could help point us in the right direction regarding where we are going wrong?
We’ve been through and checked the field mapping – the product items are all antiques so have no Brand, Gtin or MPN values and we therefore used the “identifier_exists” value for them as suggested in your tutorials.
    Any help gratefully received!
    Regards,
    Nick Burton

  • Hi Nick,

Thanks for using our plugin and reaching out to us. When we Google on this issue it actually appears not to have anything to-do with the feed but with a setting in your merchant center. I believe this post describes how to solve it: https://helpcenter.simprosys.com/portal/kb/articles/missing-product-data-google-merchant-center

    Hope this helps!

    Hi,

Thanks for the reply. We’ve followed the procedures/processes suggested by the link but still have the problem.

An example of the top and bottom of our feed is shown below – it all looks okay to us but I appreciate you are the experts! Is there anything you can see that may be causing an issue?

    Hi Nick,

Your feed is fine. As a test I uploaded it to one of our test merchant centers and it was accepted. See: https://www.dropbox.com/s/ta3d3uci9gc4nej/1173.png?dl=0

So we still believe this is related to a merchent center setting at your end. Perhaps you can reach out to Google’s support?

    Hi,

    Thanks for the reply again!

The feed you uploaded was the second feed which we created excluding the “out of stock” items. We think there may have been missing data (product image links etc.) in the out of stock items. Google did, indeed, report that there were no issues with any items in that feed.

However, we uploaded it to Google and all the items are now marked “Product Data Disapproved” but we think that’s because we used a different feed name to the original which Google doesn’t seem to like!

We’ve tried it again with the same feed name as the original and hopefully that will sort it.

    Thanks for your time.

    Regards,
    Nick Burton
