Google Services Conflict with Updraftplus Backup

Fatal error: Class ‘Google_Service_Resource’ not found in /home/###acct###/public_html/wp-content/plugins/updraftplus/includes/Google/Service/Drive.php on line 1219

Updraftplus support advises thus:
“This indicates that you have another plugin loaded that is loading Google code when UpdraftPlus is trying to load its own Google code, and that they conflict. To resolve it, de-activate any likely plugins, and re-try. If it then works, then you have found the culprit – and should report it to the plugin’s author. (Plugins should only load their resources when they’re using them – by loading them at other times, they risk clashing in this way).”

So I disabled Yoast SEO, and sure enough the Updraftplus Google re-authentication works again.

So we have a conflict here that is a significant problem. I am not sure which of you is “doing it right” and I don’t have time to sort it out, but I suspect that Yoast is “doing it wrong”.
