I have a site – jobs-top.com – which helps people to get cool and interesting jobs. I’ve carefully researched and inserted 10 or more relevant keyword phrases for each page, and google has picked up all of my pages. I’m up to 13,000 words now, adding to the site daily, yet I’m only getting 1-2 visits per day.

I’ve done a lot of research on SEO, and come across numerous forums and blogs which seem to mainly consist of people writing whatever inconsequential drivel comes into their heads, yet are getting hundreds if not thousands of hits a day.

Is this internet thing mostly just by morons serving other morons, or am I getting something very badly wrong here?

I really would appreciate some help.

    Thanks, Brian.

Advertising, probably. Posting content is one part. You have to get out there and get known in your niche in order to draw people in.

Aside from spending money, you could also swing by other like-niche sites and promote yourself. You could write guest articles, participate in discussions in forums, and respond to comments. Try doing those in DoFollow sites so you get some juice.

Becoming a guest blogger is one off the most powerfull things you can do for your blog. It gives expertise and will help you to a lot of new interested followers.

    Hi Brian
Afraid you’ve not covered the seo basics. Your page titles need some work and you have no descriptions.
Get the yoast plugin or the platinum seo plugin for your site and have a look at googles seo starter guide.
It’s a long road you have begun, but best of luck
