Since the first week of October, several of my posts vanished from Google serps, my best traffic, most important posts. No manual action, but literally gone from the serps, only found via an exact match. It turned out to be the posts that had product tables, using wp-table builder. Removing them and re-indexing fixed the issue instantly. I’ve had this on two completely separate blogs, and I have a friend who had the exact same issue, also using wp table builder. I’ve not tested using a different plugin, but I notice that other pages ranking for the same terms have similar tables.

It coincides with the October spam update, so I can only think there’s something in the plugin that is triggering the spam bot to see it as spam?

They’re quite long product tables, within long “best of” posts, and at first I thought it was only posts where the table was in the first fold, but testing has disproved that.

It might not be specific to the plugin of course, it could be any tables, but I do see other posts still ranking using tables.

    Cheers

    Hi @seok3v,

I have checked out a number of our blog posts with tables created with WP Table Builder.

We haven’t run into this issue.

Is it possible to share some of your links where you have the tables?

    Please let me know.

    Kind regards.

I don’t think the plugin is the problem but long ass posts are, since the Oct update.
