Google search showing wrong currency symbol

    Hi ,

    My woo-commerce currency is set to SAR (Saudi Riyal) but when I search for some products on google it shows the EGP symbol instead of SAR.

    The store location and default customer location are in Saudi Arabia and we are selling and shipping our products to Oman, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and UAE using the SAR Currency only

    For any products in our store, the SAR is the currency in the page source code.

    I found a snippet provided in this thread to solve the issue where the same problem was discussed.

    Perhaps try adding it to your site and wait a few days to see if it helps.

    Not all of my products are displayed with EGP Currency, there is just about 15 product that has this problem, but I think consequently the number will increase.

    I will use the code snippet from the other similar thread and then wait some days to get new results, and verify Is the problem is resolved or not?

    Hello,

    I added your code snippet in the functions.php file in my child theme for one week but there are no changes in currency in google search engine results.

    I noticed the EGP currency symbol just appeared with some of the newly added products from three or four months until today.

    Also when I check the source code for any product just the existing currency is SAR

    You can try adding the custom code via Code Snippets, without directly accessing the functions.php file. Here is an article that explains how to use the Code Snippets plugin here. Also, you can request Google to recrawl your site: How to Ask Google to Recrawl URLs of Your WordPress Site.

    I tried checking the source code cached version of your site and found no trace of EGP.

    I suggest you get in touch with Rank Math SEO support about this.

    If that doesn’t help, then please try disabling all plugins except WooCommerce as well as switching to Storefront.

    If the problem is not present after doing so, then you know there was a plugin conflict. You can enable plugins one by one again to find the culprit.

    If you’re not comfortable doing all of this on the live version of your site, you can create a staging environment using WP-STAGING.

    Hello, There are no changes in the results in Google, EGP Symbol is displayed in most products instead of SAR.

    If I stop selling and shipping to other countries and just sell for the local market in SAR, May that resolve the issue?

    Have you enabled any caching on your server? I noticed the product Beneez Premium Manuka Honey 250g (UMF+20) is always there in the cart by default.

    Have you also been using a plugin that automatically changes the currency on the site?

    I don’t see any issue with your product Schema – it correctly shows SAR.

    Would you mind opening a thread on Google Search Community here: https://support.google.com/websearch/community? This might help us resolve the issue faster.

    You mentioned your server location is in Egypt, that could be a factor however I see you are using Cloudflare currently – did you switch to Cloudflare recently? I believe it hides the server’s original IP address.

    Yes, I using Wprocket Caching plugin in my website also using Cloudflare and bunny.net CDN.

    I don’t have any plugin affecting on currency such as currency switcher or converter, I sell just with SAR with all countries

    I using Cloudflare since two or three years not recently added it

    I suggest waiting for a response from Google on this and seeing if they come up with any solutions.

    Regarding WooCommerce, I cannot see any issues as WooCommerce only generates the schema, and it is the responsibility of search engines to render it.
