When I search for my website on google without a space eg “Sitename” I get a lovely looking search result like this

    sitename.co.uk
    SITE NAME
    PRODUCT – SITE NAME
    Description
    Product Category 1
    Product category snippet
    Product Category 2
    Product category snippet
    Product Category 3
    Product category snippet

However, when I search for my website on google WITH a space eg “Site name” (which is the way most customers will search) I get an awkward looking result that looks like this:

    sitename.co.uk
    SITE NAME
    PRODUCT – SITE NAME
    Description
    Product Category 1 – Page 5 of 90
    Product category snippet
    Product Category 1 – Page 38 of 72
    Product category snippet
    Product Category 3 – Page 60 of 72
    Product category snippet

How do I stop google showing page numbers like this in the search results?

    Hello @achrisp,

    Thanks for reaching out.

It seems you are getting different sitelinks in search results depending on the search term. The links below the search results are called Sitelinks, and Google selects them based on your site structure. Yoast SEO automatically adds all the necessary Schema to generate Sitelinks. So you won’t need to change anything in the plugin.

The second set of sitelinks shows paginated archives and it’s not advisable to set them to noindex. Also, the Yoast SEO plugin doesn’t have a feature for this. You may also wish to contact Google for more information on how they decide which links appear by making a post on their forums.
