Google search results only showing path and no longer url

Well, it wasn’t showing up like this 2 weeks ago and since my SERP has dropped a lot since then, I’m not convinced that it is helping me at all. Is there any way to go back to making my url’s show again in search results?

By the way, I’ve been using breadcrumbs for 4 years and this is the first time they’re showing up like this in search results.

I don’t know.
But the Google’s documentation page shows the example screenshot, only breadcrumb path in it, no URL.
Maybe Yoast want to comply with Google’s standard.

My top pages are all outranked by sites that still have the url showing in search results. I was just wondering if this change was caused by the latest update of Yoast’s plugin and if anyone else has noticed this.
Or maybe it’s because of something I’ve done, I’m not sure…

But, what I will say, the way search results are shown (format) is not controlled by anything we do on our website. Google controls how they present the information on their website, we simply provide the content and some suggestions.

If your rankings dropped, most likely Google changes affected your website. Hard to say without investigating your date and website.

There was a big update in July, and Google always rolls out small changes every month.

In my case I’d have to disagree with you, Viktor.
Here’s what I did: I disabled the breadcrumbs in Yoast’s plugin and noticed that my Genesis child theme was already using breadcrumbs, so I didn’t lose them. And already my url’s are showing again in the search results and my traffic is back up.
