    Hi guys,

Can please someone inspect my clients site (https://vinalisjak.si/en) and run it through structured data tool because I am not sure what to do anymore.

The site is built with X-theme (Cornerstone Builder) using Yoast free plugin with title and descriptions set up for every page in different languages.
Facebook pulls the correct information (image, title and description) upon sharing the url.

Using site: in URL line shows correct pages with correct page descriptions.

For a while all page descriptions in Google Search results were shown correctly until one day we started receiving different descriptions if using slightly different search queries in Google (vina lisjak 1956, vinalisjak1956, 1956 vina lisjak etc.). Sometimes the description is pulled from page content that has way less useful information then the custom Yoast description.

I flushed WordPress and browser cache to no avail.

    Thanks for help!

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

@saiso We checked on the site in the Structured Data Testing Tool but aren’t seeing any error or warnings returned.

As for the meta description, whereas Google typically uses the meta description from the metadata for indexing, this is not always the case. Google will sometimes modify or ignore the meta description when it sees fit. This is not due to the plugin not functioning as expected, but rather is due to Google using another value for the meta description it indexes as it’s algorithm has concluded that there is a better version to index. We have additional information on this here: https://kb.yoast.com/kb/my-meta-descriptions-arent-showing-up-in-the-search-result-pages/. If Google is ignoring the meta description you have created for a page and creating it’s own description based off the page’s content, we would recommend creating a new meta description that reflect’s the page’s content. We have an article on how to write clean and meaningful meta description for your pages and posts by following the steps given in this guide. https://yoast.com/meta-descriptions/.

Thank you for checking the site and for your reply Carl.

In this particular situation I really don’t think google makes a better decision to use content-generated description but I understand it depends on algorithm. I will try to write a more accurate page description.

@saiso Thanks for your reply. We do understand that you may not agree with Google using it’s own version of the title/meta descriptions. Unfortunately there really isn’t much we can suggest besides rewriting them, as it’s Google making that decision.
