When using the Google Search Console on a page of our site (I suspect any page) sometimes we see the console message

    XHR started apbct-public-bundle.min.js:1:13438

If one Pretty Prints the JS file, there it is at line 758

console.log(‘%cXHR%c started’, ‘color: red; font-weight: bold;’, ‘color: grey; font-weight: normal;’),

I’m assuming GSC is not keen on console log messages. Is there a Clean Talk option to turn off this console log message from your plugin?

    Thank you

    Hello @datastream,

Unfortunately no. This message means that our plugin is enabled and working.

    Hello Dimitry,

As you say “Unfortunately”. May I suggest such an option would be a desirable enhancement? Developers and. I assume, GSC look for a clean Console. Even picky users looking at a site can be put off by Console messages. I fail,to see a Console message is necessary for the purpose you state.

    I find the ‘Resolved’ unsatisfactory.

    Hoping for better.

    Thank you,

    Barry

    Hello,

Could you try to set the ‘Set cookies’ to ‘Off’ and the ‘Use Anti-Spam by CleanTalk JavaScript library’ option to on here:

WordPress Dashboard -> Settings -> Antispam by Cleantalk -> Advanced settings

    Did it help?

    Hello Serge,

No, it did not help on the evidence to date. Still seeing the ‘XHR started’ message. I did clear the browser cache.

The console message is still highlighting the same console.log statement, although now at a different line number, presumably as a result of the ‘Use Anti-Spam by CleanTalk JavaScript library’ option now On.

However, what was it using with that option Off? I’m struggling to interpret the explanation with that option: ‘This option includes external Anti-Spam by CleanTalk JavaScript library to getting visitors info data’. That sentence makes no sense to me.

    Best regards,

    Barry

Cookies ‘Off’ switches the plugin to use the browser’s local storage.

‘Use Anti-Spam by CleanTalk JavaScript library’ – uses a separate library to detect requests’ parameters.

We are working on your issue, it may take 1-2 weeks. We will contact you.
