• I received an email today from Google, siting issues with the reviews on my website using Ultimate Reviews. Here is what the email said:

Issues found with your Review Snippet markup

    Dear Search Console site owner,

Google systems show that your site is affected by 12 instances of Review Snippet markup issues. This means that your Review Snippet markup might not appear as rich results in Google Search.

Search Console now supports a new rich result report for Review Snippets. This report shows any Review Snippet markup issues that Google found on your site. Click a property in the list below to open the Review Snippet Rich Result report for that property:

I am using the premium version of Ultimate Reviews. The two reviews listed on the home page were replaced with a text version of the review which satisfied Google, but the reviews listed on the /review page continue to be a problem. What can I do to resolve this issue? Is it as simple as removing the stars?

    Thank you for your help.

  • I have the very same issue. Is there a fix for this?

    Hi joy and stuart,

The feature to include the microdata is actually part of the premium version of the plugin. The www.remarpro.com forums are meant for questions about the free version of this software. As such, please contact us directly by email or visit our website, and we’d be happy to assist you in using the premium version.

In case anyone else has this problem, here’s the response from premium support:

“We are very aware of this and are working on update to change how we include the microdata to include the new markup. Your search rankings/results, etc. will not be affected. Google just added a new feature to the review snippets and are displaying warnings because they want to force you to change to the new version. After we write the new code and test it, we will release an update.”

Will the new code resolve free version user issues too?

    Thanks in advance
