The page it alerts to is:

    wp-admin/admin-ajax.php?action=rest-nonce

I see people talking about just ignoring this, but is there some way to fix this in the plugin? I’m seeing it on several sites that I’ve just converted to AIOSEO.

    Wondering if I’ve missed something…

    Hi @deleyna,

If you’re getting a 4xx error for “/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php?action=rest-nonce”, then that’s completely normal and you can safely ignore this.

If you still want to block Google from crawling that URL, then you can add a custom rule by going to All in One SEO > Tools > Robots.txt Editor, as seen here-

Is there any negative to adding this rule?

My clients become concerned when they see these errors. But I’ve seen some online discussion that blocking this link can be a problem, and other documentation that says it is not.

It seems like a lot of WordPress sites would have this issue…

    Hi @deleyna,

Blocking Google from crawling that URL should not cause any issues.

As I mentioned earlier, even if you don’t block Google, that 4xx error is completely normal and can be safely ignored.

Thanks. I just needed to confirm that.
