Yes I am doing that and learning how to make really decent high quality information videos to add. Do you think I have to do anything for Google to let me out or do you think it will just happen in due course?

This link https://goo.gl/IkiBD will answer your question. From SEO point of view your site is linked from the places where it should not be linked from, also the domain name was registered in November of this year, you should give this little more time.

Relatively new domains, like yours that are already linked on so many websites is sending an alert to Google that something weird is going on.

Also if this domain had some prior history, such as different domain used in past etc and if that domain was redirected to new one.

Just take your time, don’t rush anything and you will gain your ranking soon enough.

Thank you Emil. I did forward another domain to this site but removed it a couple of weeks ago in case this was the problem.

I have asked Google for reoonsideration is there anything else I should be doing and is it worth building decent proper links to this site do you think or should I start again?

Anytime, I am here to help as much as I know and can. No need to start again, if you had a different domain who had backlinks and it was 301 redirect to this new domain you should be just fine as you’re not breaking any rules with that. However if the previous domain was a) blacklisted b) had some issues with Google, your new domain would “suffer” because of that.

I don’t like giving advice about link popularity and building, but I can say that whatever you do, do it steady and without any rush. Always make sure that you’re not linking from/to sites with bad reputation and be sure that they’re related to yours.

Quality -vs Quantity is always the key ??

Sometimes not seeing your site doesn’t mean that Google penalized you, give this some time, check often and I am sure that your site will come back shortly.

Yes my old site was dropped by Google though I never really worked out why. People said it was because it was because of the iframes which is why I did a decent WordPress site. Obviously not! I have stopped forwarding it and have asked for reconsideration so hopefully should be fine in due course.

Back to a WordPress question though. I have been checking links back to my site and notice that others are linking to me. Some are good sites that are on my topic but others are not, including a German porn site! Is there a good WordPress plugin to stop this type of spammy backlinking please and how can I get rid of those links.

I can recommend (if you didn’t do this already) to open https://www.google.com/webmasters/ account. There you can track your backlinks and check whether they’re linking to your new or old domain name.

There’s nothing you can do about backlinks from bad sites, such as one you mention above. Frames are not recommended, however I don’t really believe that Google dropped you because of that. Frames could affect SERP only.

If your old site was in conflict with Google for whatever reason, perhaps doing a 301 redirect to your new domain is not the best idea. Whatever old domain “did” it will reflect on your current one. You’re transferring positive and negative stuff.
