Google Recaptcha support?

  • I am trying to use the 2BC Form Security plugin to add a honeypot and Google reCaptcha challenge. It works well with the standard WP login, registration, and comment forms, but not with the LWA widget. (it adds a blank input box to the widget form but no reCaptcha challenge).

    The LWA description mentions the use of reCaptcha plugins. Which reCaptcha plugins have been tested and are known to work with LWA?

    Spam registrations are a problem. I like the LWA widget option but need ways to keep the bots at bay.

  • It’s possible this conflict caused by your theme or another plugin. To check if it is, can you test with all other plugins deactivated and while running the default WordPress theme?

    Okay – tried it on a totally clean installation of WP with the default Twenty Sixteen them, with JUST LWA and 2BC Form Security plugins running, and the combination seems to be working fine there. SOOO … I will do some more troubleshooting to see which plugins are causing the issue or if it is the theme, and report back.

    On the live site with ALL plugins disabled except LWA and 2BC Form Security, the LWA sidebar widget showed that pesky additional but empty input box and NO reCaptcha, so I guess it’s a theme issue.

    The theme is WooTheme’s Storefront. I will attempt to connect with the author of the 2BCFS plugin to see if it’s something he can address.
