Google Play RSS Submission Issue

  • I’m trying to submit a podcast RSS feed to Google and getting the following error message:

    Unable to parse RSS feed

    The URL provided is not an RSS feed
    The URL provided does not comply with the RSS specification. Please update the URL or the file to comply.

    It IS a valid RSS feed (https://nyehentertainment.com/feed/podcast/) that has checked out numerous other places. I’ve filled out all the required tag fields in the Blubrry control panel also, and am completely at a loss as to what the issue might be, any input would be very much appreciated!

    I ran your feed thru several validators and everything came up fine. I’d suggest contacting GPM support and asking if they can clarify the issue. You should be able to do so by:
    1.) Go to https://play.google.com/music/podcasts/portal/ and login with the Google account you used to create your GPM listing
    2.) Click the gear icon in the top righthand side of the screen and click Help & Feedback
    3.) Click the Email link underneath “Contact Us” at the bottom of the menu
    4.) Fill out the form and let them know what’s wrong with your listing and they will get back to you
