Both apple pay and google pay dont work, For the apple pay at the backend it says domain validation failed. We followed the instruction there but still keep getting that error at the backend. the file is already up and viewable but still the same (https://opalgalaxy.com/.well-known/apple-developer-merchantid-domain-association)

For the google pay. it loads but it keeps on saying “To make this purchase using Google Pay, open this website in a browser app, such as chrome or safari.” But i tried it on different device but still the same error.

here is the system report: https://filebin.net/2byp43hjkj1u0zo3

For now we disabled those 2. Hope you can help us fix it.

    Thanks

  • I’m having the same issue, both Google Pay and Apple Pay not working. Apple Pay would not show any error message (just Payment Failed), but Google Pay would give this error:

“Cannot read properties of undefined (reading ‘paymentSource’)

This has become widespread. Can you work on a fix ASAP?

    Hello @vasssh

For Apple Pay: The issue of domain validation failing can indeed be persistent until you or a buyer actually uses the Apple Pay button on your site. Initiating a payment up to the point where the address details sheet is displayed (without completing the payment) is necessary for full domain validation. Although no actual transaction needs to be completed, this step is essential for validating the domain. I suggest re-enabling the button and trying this method.

For Google Pay: We are aware of the issue you described and our developers are currently analyzing similar reports. An update aimed at resolving this problem is expected to be released today. I would appreciate it if you could update to the latest version once available and let us know if the issue persists.

    Hello @vuster

Please create a separate thread for this issue to avoid duplicating problems in one thread, as it can lead to confusion. Thank you in advance.

    Kind Regards,

Happy to report that the new update (Version Version 2.8.2) has fixed this for both Apple Pay and Google Pay. HOWEVER, the digital wallets (both Apple and Google) are NOT requesting contact information (email address), or shipping address, so the transaction comes through as blank for billing and shipping fields. It needs to require these pieces of information in order to process an order. Could you please look into this.
