The idea behind these rules is to inline small portions of CSS (and JS), allowing the browser to paint the main parts of the page without any external files being loaded. This is esp. advantageous when on mobile, where network latency for each request can impact rendering time.

To accomplish this on your blog, you’ll have to extract a (limited) part of your CSS and add that as inline style-blocks (in your theme, probably in a file called header.php) and put <!–noptimize–><!–/nopitmize–> tags around that (available as from autoptimize 1.6.6, currently in beta) to avoid Autoptimize moves them to the aggregated CSS-file anyway. That way you’ll have your basic CSS inline, while the bulk of CSS remains in a limited number autoptimized, external CSS-files.
