    Hello!
I’d love to use your plugin to display a Google Calendar on a website I am developing, yet I encounter problems with the OAuth authorization. The problem apparently lies in the fact that Google allows OAuth access only from verified apps. If the app is not, as in this case, then it seems necessary to verify it through a long manual process which requires to verify you’re the owner of the domain AND await a manual verification from the Google staff.

Is there a simpler way to enable the plugin functionality?

In any case, the instructions provided are outdated.

    Steps to reproduce:
    – Install the plugin
    – Create a new Google Account
    – Follow the instructions provided with the new Google Account
    – Experience authentication denials

    Hi,

I don’t think there is an easier way to remove the “Unverified apps” screen than to go through the verification process. Without verification you can still use it but with less user rate. You are the app owner so you can decide if you need your app to be verified.

Regarding the instructions: do you mean the instructions at https://blog.michielvaneerd.nl/private-google-calendars/setup/ ? I recently went to this process again and wrote the steps down on this page. If there is anything wrong, just let me know and I’ll update the instructions.

    Best wishes,
    Michiel

FYI: now it’s also possible to connect to public calendars with an API key. This is much easier to setup. Maybe this suits you.

Absolutely, connecting through API key is absolutely what I was looking forward to have for my case! I was planning to attempt implementing it myself, but you beat me on timing ?? Thanks so much! Works like a charm.
