Google not indexing

  • I am getting the follwoing errors within my google search console:

    Error
    Submitted URL marked ‘noindex’

    Not Started

    3
    Error
    Submitted URL seems to be a Soft 404

    N/A

    0

    I noticed that when I search my website on google I get a grey circle with a question mark and when the cursor is hovered over it it says “this site has not been analysed yet”

    can any one tell me how i can sort this issues out, especially the indexing issue.
    I am using Rank Math SEO just in case this helps

  • When I look at the HTML of your start page, it looks fine. And your /robots.txt is fine.
    So you probably need to give Google some time to start visiting your site. It usually doesn’t happen immediately, but usually you’ll start seeing some changes in a few days to a week.

    The console is saying that there is issues with 3 pages:

    Submitted URL marked ‘noindex’
    https://famfabrix.co.uk/checkout-2/
    https://famfabrix.co.uk/cart/
    https://famfabrix.co.uk/my-account/

    And

    Submitted URL seems to be a soft 404

    My site has been online since 2019 and the errors started occurring since November 2020.

    Think about it: You don’t want Google to index those pages, that are only meant as process pages when someone is actually buying something.
    And the checkout page may not be available if you haven’t added anything into your cart, hence “soft 404”.
    So Googlebot may see links to those very virtual pages, but the pages themselves aren’t responding, which is just perfectly fine.

    Yes you make perfect sense but why is Google console giving me these errors? I’ve clicked on review fix in hopes this removed these errors. I was thinking my site is not being indexed and hence effecting traffic etc. Also would you know why I get the grey circle with the question mark inside when searching Famfabrix on Google which states this site has not been analysed?

    When I search for that term, your site is hit #1, without any grey circles or question marks. Perhaps, if you’re logged in, they just want to keep you posted that they’ve still got some unclear stuff between them and you ??
