Google NID cookie and Maps API

    I have been working through removing third party cookies from my site and have come into an issue with the infamous google NID cookie. From what I can tell from some reading over the past few days it is usually inserted when using reCaptcha or the Google Maps API.

    There is no place on our site we are using reCaptcha but the Tribe Events plugin comes with an API key for Google Maps. Upon deactivating the plugin and rescanning using https://webbkoll.dataskydd.net/ the NID cookie is gone. The problem is that the API key cannot be removed. If removed from the field it repopulates with a default key.

    We have no need for the Google Maps API, is there a way to just switch this off or a snippet I can add to stop it from loading and tracking users?
