Google News RSS Feed bug?
-
I am using 3.0, but have been having this problem for awhile. I don’t remember which version I was on when I started having the problem, but at some point, my Google News RSS feeds stopped working. Other RSS feeds work just fine. All feeds were put onto the site using the standard RSS widget.
Behavior:
Click on a link in a Google News feed with my WordPress blog and nothing happens. I’m not taken to a new page, nothing. It looks like the page might be trying to redraw, but it’s too fast for an actual redraw.I copied and pasted one of the urls in the feed into my browser’s address bar:
https://news.google.com/news/url?fd=R&sa=T&url=https://www.crunchsports.com/category/Tennis/Rafael-Nadal--Soon-to-overtake-Roger-Federer-in-winners-market-for-Wimbledon-2010-201006230010/&usg=AFQjCNGGLipn8Zz4GGxUwl-APcSqVc4Nhg
and pressed enter. Again, nothing happened. I’m not taken any where. After looking at the URL for awhile and comparing it to ones that do work on the same feed within Google Reader, I url encoded all the special characters in the url parameter to end up with:
https://news.google.com/news/url?fd=R&sa=T&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.crunchsports.com%2Fcategory%2FTennis%2FRafael-Nadal--Soon-to-overtake-Roger-Federer-in-winners-market-for-Wimbledon-2010-201006230010%2F&usg=AFQjCNGGLipn8Zz4GGxUwl-APcSqVc4Nhg
pasted that in my address bar and it worked perfectly. Is anyone else experiencing this or can suggest a work around so that the feeds work again?
