Google Merchant ID gets overwritten with some random number

    Hello,

    I enter in my Google Merchant ID number on the settings page, after it’s saved however there is some random number in the field again. When loading a page and looking at the source code – the random number is shown instead of the merchant ID I entered and saved.

    My Google Merchant ID is 7 characters, the id it gets replaced with is 20 characters.

    @wpuser1234, I’ve never seen that in all my testing, and I don’t even know how that would be possible looking at the code.

    My guess is that you have a browser saved field/password or password manager extension that is populating that field on page load which is overwriting the value that is saved in the database.

    Indeed, this must’ve been some fluke – after I came back to the page it was fine again. Very strange, I tried to figure out if something was auto populating, but didn’t see it.
