The zoom level for Google maps in the Google Maps settings seems to have no effect on the map shown for the event. I have an API key and the maps work, L&L setting responds to addresses etc. But no matter what I set the zoom level to, the map for the event shows completely zoomed in (level 20).

  • Hi,

The cause of the problem is most probably a conflict with another plugin.

Could you please, try to deactivate all your other plugins, except Event Calendar and see whether the zoom will work?
If the problem will not be occurring, please activate plugins one by one and check Zoom of the Event Calendar map simultaneous, to find which one is causing the issue.

    Thanks. Have a nice day.

I will check again but I don’t have any other plugins that use Google maps.

I experienced the same issues since a few days on a few sites I build ( all using Advanced Google Maps in visual composer with the Google maps api).

The maps are fully zoomed in, so you can see no context.
    Example: https://goo.gl/fwRHuz

I have same problem. The maps are fully zoomed in. I am using WP-bakery(visual composer) to. Ex: https://www.admemo.net

It worked previously, and the default zoom level changed after the last update without me changing anything else on the site. Looks like I am not the only one experiencing this so perhaps Web-Dorado could investigate on your end before assuming the fault is another plug-in.

    Hi,

@admemo12 and @jojakim please, note that we were note able to find the Event Calendar by following the URLs that you have provided.

Could you please share with us the pages where you have Event Calendar with the map and we will take a closer look to the issue?

    Thanks. Have a nice day.

Yes so it has nothing to do with this plugin, just the first recent message about the same issue I could find. It’s likely an error with the Google Maps API…

Yes so I has to do with the Maps API i guess. Like you @jojakim this was the first recent message on this subjekt. I would be greatful if you let me know if you find a solution.

Here is an example of the map being zoomed in even though the zoom level in the plug in is set at 12. I am using the DIVI theme and builder on this site.

    Hi,

Please, be informed that our developers have checked the mentioned issue.
It is most probably bug of the plugin. The development team is currently working to fix the issue.

We will do our best to solve it in a possible shortest timeframe.

    Thanks. Have a nice day.

Hi I’m having the same problem, here is another example if you need one.

    https://www.fenwinelivermore.com/fendev2/event/lvwa-barrel-tasting/

If you are using Jupiter Theme from Artbees with wp-bakery there will be a solution in the next update. In the meantime you can in Advanced Google maps, as location nr 1, set another coordinate not far from your desired location. Use a blank png as map marker, so it won’t show.
Put the coordinates that your map should point to into the field of location 2.
For me this did the trick and streched the map from max zoom to about the original look, and I got my pin close to the center of the map. I guess the distance from location 1 to 2 will decide the level of zoom, so you might adjust it until you’re satisfied.

    This worked for me

Same problem, all maps zoomed in fully. Not experienced this issue before the last update of Event Calendar. No extra plugins installed, although this is the classic response, easy to blame other plugin’s.

    Hi,

Please note that the last update of the plugin solved the issue.
