We are using The Event Calendar 4.2 and The Event Calendar pro 4.2. We have a valid license key. Our site event is:

After creating an event, venue, organization, etc …., everything works fine, EXCEPT when viewing the event, there is NO Google Map being displayed for the venue.
Under edit venue, both “Show Google Map” and Show Google Maps Link” are checked. I also created an API key (hopefully correctly), yet still no automatic showing of a Google Map for the Venue.

I have no idea why. HELP! is very much appreciated!

    Thanks

  • same issue on new events. Old events that have already occurred do show a Google Map.

Interesting. When we used The Events Calendar (and Pro) version 4.13 (the last previous version), we had no problem. It only started when we recently moved to 4.2.
Something in this version, just do not know what!

    Hi klh121560,

I took a look at your site and see this error:

Error: Syntax error, unrecognized expression: a[href=#top]

That is due to a update in WordPress’s jQuery Version.

This post explains a little bit more of it:

It looks like you have to update all your themes and plugins or try our testing for conflicts guide to find the source.

    Thanks

I did see a couple events that showed up with a strange header. As a test a couple days later I entered some new events and they worked correctly (google map shows up), so I went back and recreated 6 of the prior events that got whacked and now everything appears to work as it should complete with google map. Then I deleted to whacked events. Not sure what happened but everything now looks good without having to update my theme nor play with plugins and all new events post correctly.

    Hi @atv66,

Thanks for following up–glad to hear that things are working well for you now. Please do follow up with us in a new thread if you should have any other issues, as we do need to keep individual customer reports separate (in keeping with WP.org’s forum rules)!

@klh121560, let us know if you should have any questions about the steps that Brian has provided above!

    Thank you!
