    Hi,

    I can help out here.

    I am seeing this error:

Google Maps API error: RefererNotAllowedMapError https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/error-messages#referer-not-allowed-map-error
Your site URL to be authorized: https://jphweb.co.uk/event/the-societys-fine-wine-evening-guest-speaker-simon-taylor-stone-vine-sun/
    https://maps.google.com/maps/api/js?key=AIzaSyD3Z51nROYnBqYEKeuACIPqvqV-uOZb8zk&ver=4.5.3
    Line 34

Please review these guides to help out as it appears you do not have the correct urls in the Google Developer Console:

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/setting-up-your-google-maps-api-key/

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/google-maps-not-showing-up/

Make sure your domains are in like this in the referrer url:

    *.mydomain.com/*

    *mydomain.com/*

Let us know how that works out.

    Thanks

I’m sorry. Can you explain a little more. I am completely lost.

    Hi,

Did you follow along with the guide?

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/setting-up-your-google-maps-api-key/

That is the best explanation we have for this.

Yes I did. I stated that in the first message. I have checked it all twice and still nothing. Any other suggestions?

    Hi,

Your urls for your credentials are incorrect as this error is still there.

Google Maps API error: RefererNotAllowedMapError https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/error-messages#referer-not-allowed-map-error
Your site URL to be authorized: https://newtonartscalendar.org/index.php/events/test-event/

That has to be fixed in the Google Developer Console and there is nothing we can do on our end to fix this as Google is generating the error.

Go back to our guide and follow the first two examples to add your domain under Using Your API Key.

I’m sorry that I am not getting this, I am usually not so lost. I have read over your documentation and followed the instructions as well as watch how to create google map API’s etc.. I don’t know what i am doing wrong.

It says I have a valid enabled API. When you click the words “google map” on the venue, it takes you to the right place but no map shows in the grey box on the left. Is that a PRO option? How can the link work if the API is not right?

Please have patience with me. I know this is frustrating.

    Hey,

I do apologize for the persistence of this issue for you here.

The issue here could possibly be with the “/index.php/” that is being included in your URLs. Have you tried modifying the settings we creating the API key?

    Thanks!
