Google Maps Not Embedding Anymore on Contact Page

I had Google Maps embedded on my contact page with no issue–the map would display on the page.

Recently, Google Maps is no longer displaying; instead, the shortcode [googlemaps…] displays on the page. Is this possibly due to a WordPress update?

In attempts to address this issue, I have followed the exact steps provided by WordPress and inserted the older format <iframe> code from Google Maps. It produces the same result: shortcode.

I also deactivated all plugins, in case there was a conflict; but still, no map displayed. I even tried changing the “https://&#8221; to “https://&#8221; to no avail.

It appears that many are experiencing this issue. Is there a fix?
