Google Maps JavaScript API warning: SensorNotRequired
-
I’m using an up-to-date WordPress site with WP Photo Album Plus Version 7.0.10.008.
In the Chrome browser console, I see this warning:
Google Maps JavaScript API warning: SensorNotRequired https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/error-messages#sensor-not-required
In view source, it appears to be related to the URL “https://maps.googleapis.com/maps/api/js?v=3.exp&sensor=false&ver=7.0.10.008” reference in the WPPAP block of JavaScript includes:
<script type='text/javascript' src='https://www.villagehillcommunity.org/wp-content/plugins/wp-photo-album-plus/js/wppa.min.js?ver=7.0.10.008'></script> <script type='text/javascript' src='https://www.villagehillcommunity.org/wp-content/plugins/wp-photo-album-plus/js/wppa-slideshow.min.js?ver=7.0.10.008'></script> <script type='text/javascript' src='https://www.villagehillcommunity.org/wp-content/plugins/wp-photo-album-plus/js/wppa-ajax-front.min.js?ver=7.0.10.008'></script> <script type='text/javascript' src='https://www.villagehillcommunity.org/wp-content/plugins/wp-photo-album-plus/js/wppa-popup.min.js?ver=7.0.10.008'></script> <script type='text/javascript' src='https://maps.googleapis.com/maps/api/js?v=3.exp&sensor=false&ver=7.0.10.008'></script> <script type='text/javascript' src='https://www.villagehillcommunity.org/wp-content/plugins/wp-photo-album-plus/dynamic/wppa-init.en.js?ver=84'></script>
Per the Google documentation for this warning:
The sensor parameter is no longer required for the Maps JavaScript API. It won’t prevent the Maps JavaScript API from working correctly, but we recommend that you remove the sensor parameter from the script element.
Perhaps this “sensor” parameter can be removed in a future release so we don’t get this warning. Thanks!
