    Hi
It used to be so simple to copy the embed code from Google maps and paste it into a post.

With Gutenberg I cannot find any way to achieve this.

I have located the Google Maps embed plugin by Pantheon but this plugin does not appear to be able to show a street view. It allows only satellite or roadmap view.

Is there a simple way to insert google maps embed code with Gutenberg?
The standard embed code does not work as this requires an html address.
The standard wp editor block only seems to allow visual text and does not appear to allow text entry.

    Am I missing something?

There is a block in Gutenberg called “Custom HTML”. This will allow you to insert the HTML code from Google directly into a block, without adding any additional formatting to it.

    Thanks for the reply Samuel.

That was the first thing I tried before submitting my question but it did not appear to be working for me.

Upon retrying, following your suggestion I have managed to get it working. It seems I must press enter after entering the embed code and then save. If I just enter the code in the HTML block and update it doesn’t show on the frontend.

    Thank you for your assistance.
