    Google does not like Web Directories!

    It was good while it lasted, Google Maps while free served me very well, but now with all restrictions of use of the API, we need to have equivalence options to present
    the locations in our directories systems.

    See this part of the Google Maps Service Terms of Use, which states that we can not use listings or directories.

    Customer will not:

    3.2.4 Restrictions Against Misusing the Services…
    (iii) use the Google Maps Core Services in a listing or directory service or to create or augment an advertising product;

    Because of this news, it would be good to start developing as fast as possible another integration with alternative map providers.

    It would be a good choice if the Directorist users could switch to the Open Street Map (www.openstreetmap.org) that already offers excellent service and can be used to completely replace Google Maps.

    What do you think? do you have any alternative solution for using maps in the Directorist?

    Hi friend,
    this is music to my ears,?? I’m glad they’re working to offer integration with OpenStreetMaps.

    I am using the Directorist on a project and I’d like to know if you have a release date forecast and if it will go out in the free version?

    Thanks for the attention and
    congratulations to all the team for the excellent system of directories that make available to the community.
