HI, despite following the google maps api i do not see any evidence that the plugin is using it. When i enter the api key in settings and save on revisiting the key has vanished. This doesn’t seem quite right. I would also expect some reference to it in the directory listing. There is not. I’m using twenty seventeen. Can you suggest what i can do to at least work our why there are no maps. Which page should the google map api script be inserted, i’ve put it in the header.php? thanks nigel

Hi -and thanks for using our plugin.

Off hand, it sounds like there may be a conflict with another plugin on your site. We’ve confirmed that the API should be working fine.

When i enter the api key in settings and save on revisiting the key has vanished.

That is odd behavior indeed. Are you running the latest version of our plugin?

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly.
I’m using version 1.1.2 i’m not asked to update.
This is a multisite wordpress, i wonder if this might be part of the problem.
I’m only using these other plugins: accordion, testimonials and wufoo

Should the google api script be inserted in header.php?
Where should i expect the map to be inserted/visible?

    My web site is salt-holdings.co.uk

    thanks for your support

You haven’t responded to my response, i’m disappointed.
I have however tried other tests and i now realise there are two problems.
Your plugin does not support a wordpress multi site this is why the api key does not get saved.
Your plugin does not appear to work in a site which uses SSL – i just get java errors saying that there is no API key when of course there is.
If i implement it in a free standing wordpress installation then it works.
In each instance i was using the same API key.

I’m sorry you’re having trouble with this. I’ll have to get our programmer to check into the issues with multi-site and ssl/https.

I’ll try to get back to you on this shortly.

Thanks for your response. If i can help then just ask. Meanwhile i am re-implementing my site as a freestanding wordpress. However, it would be good to know that SSL will work soon.

It looks like we were able to resolve the SSL issue in the latest update. However currently our plugin still does not work on multi-site.
