I’m having problems with editing the Google Maps widget. Not sure when the problem first occurred, probably as a result of an update (it used to work OK), as I don’t edit it very often. When I edit the page, I get an error “This block has encountered an error and cannot be previewed.” However, if I delete the block and re-add it, at the time of re-adding, it works correctly. If I then save the page and then go back to edit it, I get the error. I’ve tried deactivating all plugins and still get the error.

    Any ideas?

    Hi Steve

    Thanks for reaching out.

When able, please, send us an export of the page. We’ll take a look and advise from there.

Click the three dots at the top right of the page when editing. Select Code View. You can upload the output to a site like PasteBin.com or save to a text file and upload to Dropbox or a site like WeTransfer.com.

    Hi Andrew

Thanks for getting back so promptly.

I’ve gone into the code editor and cut and pasted the code into this file https://1drv.ms/t/s!AsOHF3QeIkc81xbDX3BuUmIdC-ma?e=KNU8Fj. Hope this is what you want.

I’ve also accidentally discovered a work-round. While editing the page using the visual editor, if I switch to the Code Editor, I get the code as in the file above. If I then swich back to the Visual Editor, the page displays correctly without the error! Very odd.

    Regards
    Steve

    Hi Steve

Please, find a beta release of the Widgets Bundle below:

    https://siteorigin.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/so-widgets-bundle.1.26.2-beta.zip

Once the ZIP file is on your desktop, head over to Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin, overwriting the existing version on the Widgets Bundle when prompted.

The issue is resolved on my test page. Please, give it a try and let us know how you get on.

    Thanks
