This is such an obvious feature…no reply?

Address autocomplete is out of the scope of the Address Book plugin. There are plenty of plugins out there for WooCommerce that offers autocomplete using various sources such as https://woo.com/document/address-autocomplete/

Thanks very much, Matt! That plugin does cover the Woo Checkout page.

For the Add Address page where the user can add an address from their My Account page, don’t you think that integration could be valuable for all the same reasons, which I think are error prevention and user experience?

It does make sense to do it, but it would be a separate plugin.

We purposely re-use WooCommerce’s edit address functionality so any plugins that work with WooCommerce’s addresses without this plugin. Will also work when editing the addresses here.

Thanks again! Well done, leveraging the core Woo edit address functionality!

Hey, I found that the PowerfulWP Autocomplete plugin is compatible, but the Kikote one, for me, was not.

Hey, Sorry to be pesty….but, far as I can tell, I am not getting autocomplete in the Add Address screen of the Addresses link in My Account.

I figure that the code may be looking for the context of checkout, and may need a touch to add the other context? My simplistic non-understanding…

Reminder, the compatible Address Autocomplete plugin I am using

Help, or tips I can pass to a developer that I hire?

I ultimately settled on the WP Sunshine one – I am going more modular and less monolithic. There are some plugins that try to do distance rate shipping, delivery timeslots, and autocomplete, and that seems like a lot.

As Matt said, the authors here went for Woo address field compatibility, so when you activate the presets for Woocommerce Checkout and Woocommerce My Account, it “just works”…which is what we want.
