• Hi,
I have a few problems with the plugin.
My website under construction in a different folder/directory is: https://www.picisgh.org/ver3/
The events listing page is at https://www.picisgh.org/ver3/events/
    1. My address is not found even though it is easily found when address is entered in google maps as a result maps don’t show in resultant pages
    2. When I choose “this event does not have a physical location”, THEN the map displays in the middle of the ocean.
    3. IF I choose to disable comments, I get error on single event display page, but if I enable comments, then rest of information shows.
Following several threads in here, I disabled ALL plugins (other than events), I still had same problem. So they are now enabled again.
    Any help will be appreciated.
    Kind regards
    Samir

  • We are experiencing the same issue and have disabled all plugins. It still did not resolve the issue.

It seems like the problem is actually with google!
I tried another plugin that also failed… however the plugin I tried also told me to check error message on Java console, I used google inspect via chrome and found out the error saying that the API key was not active. However when I went to google, everything seemed ok.

Just to clarify: Do you have an active Google Maps API Key now running on the site?

I have the same issue. Google API key entered and all the API enabled but the all events map just shows blue and it says “Map Unavailable” on every location.

I have the same issue, and Google API key is entered and well configured.
My website is with https; I hope this is not the probleme?

That shouldn’t be an issue but can you test with http?

Unfortunatelly i can’t test with http.
I install the plugin before buy it.
It’s a good plugin but impossible to put adress for the emplacements! I don’t know why.

My site is also on https. I tried on http and it works.

On the https site the map works for the loation page where it shows an individual localtion but it doesn’t work for [locations_map]. It just shows a grey box with “loading map”.

This was fixed when I tried it on a http domain and both show properly.

CodeMonkeyBanana it’s working for https too?
    How do you do please?
    I can’t solve my probleme…

Do the maps work if you unset the specific domain in your Google API Console?

I have not tried to “unset” the specific domain in my Google API console, I’ll try this afternoon.
    Thanks

    caimin_nwl thanks a lot!!
Now it’s work for administrator when editing an emplacement!
    It’s better!!

But for visitor, the map appears in grey (with the adress).

Sorry it’s OK for visitor too. I put something wrong on the code!
thank you for this solution that work wel (“unset” the specific domain in my Google API console).

Glad you got it working. It’s usually better to add a domain pattern in your console, as explained here:

    OK!
So I’ve tried everything suggested here. No luck!
Then went to my google and deleted api projects and keys.
I followed instructions from the link within plugin settings (https://wp-events-plugin.com/documentation/google-maps/api-key/) same as posted by calmin_nwl…
I basically played dumb like I never used internet before and I followed step-by-step without trying to use shortcuts I know.
Previously I created my own project name, this time I used the project name as shown in the instructions with exception of the slug name, google would not accept what was in the example (I guess many people tried using it), so I added 786 to the end of it.

Result is still the same. No map displays.

I really need help with this one!

Thanks for all those who are trying to help

    Kind regards
    Samir
