It’s not intuitive, but here’s how I got it to work…
1) In WordPress | Ultimate Member | Forms | create or edit your PROFILE FORM
2) Click the plus icon to create a field; under “Setup New Field” click Google Map (more on fields here: https://docs.ultimatemember.com/article/188-adding-fields-to-a-form )
3) A box with options should open, if it doesn’t try it again (this happened to me)
4) Fill in the Title, Label, Meta Key, Placeholder (I used Map, Map, map, “Enter address to show on map; example: 123 Main St, New York, NY”) – click Add
5) Click Update in the top right to save your new field and form.
6) On the frontend of your website, go to your User page. Should be something like https://yourdomain.com/user/yourusername/ (add your domain and username)
7) Click the gear to edit your profile
8) Look for the field you just created; it will just be a text field.
9) Enter the address you want to show on the map (example: 123 Main St, NY, NY)
10) Click the button to update your profile.
11) The page will refresh. Scroll down and you should see a map on your page now.
11) Note: The field will not show on your profile if the field is empty. It will show when you edit the field.
Not intuitive at all. I hope it worked for you!! (I cheated, I’ve been a web designer for 20 years.)
