• I am not an expert when it comes to website development but I am being forced to learn now since my site was recently hacked twice within a month.

I have deleted and uploaded my entire website and now it is up and running without any issues. my website is illusiondjs.com

I used to be on top 3 or 5 for google search for certain keywords. Now my site is nowhere to be found and even if I search illusiondjs.com on google, my site is not listed anywhere. So I am not sure what is the reason behind this. My site has been running for close to 10 years and I just redesigned the site to provide a new look and now I am having a issue of getting recognized by Google.

I would appreciate if someone can help me resolve this issue.

  • One thing I would do is log into your google webmaster tools and see if there are any manual actions against you. The next thing I would do is use that tool to find out all the urls that are indexed in google that no longer exist in your new website. Many people forget when they redesign a site that all of the old content, urls, etc, went towards making your SERPS what it was. Whenever I am redesigning a site, I always keep that in mind. Another thing you might look at is if you have removed any reciprocal backlinks from other authoritative websites and they, in return, have removed you. There are many reasons why your site could have dropped in rankings and you really should do some serious investigation into why.

    Bob,

Thank you and I checked Google webmaster tools and it says that my site has not been reviewed by Google and it also does not show any actions against my site or me. I looked into creating site map and submit it manually to google webmaster tools but not really sure how to do that yet so I am honing to wait for a day or two see if Google reviews my site or not. If not I would then manually submit it.

It would be great if you can share an easier way to create/submit site map.
