• Hi,

    is there any way to disable indexing of plugin data by google? On my site I use related posts plugin and Nextgen widget

    https://www.clickonf5.org/related-posts-slider/

    The problem is google indexes their data way more than regular content. When I search for images I get pretty much all of them, but not linked to the post to which they are attached to, but attached to the ngg widget (I can see that because the text next to the images in google is always the same – text used in the widget). I do get some images from posts, and who lead to the post, but they are way down on the list.

    Also, with related posts, they behave differently than images – they link to correct article, but the description adds related posts data, even though I use YOAST WPSEO to manually input a description for every page or post.

    What am I to do? Can I somehow disable indexing of plugin data?

    Oh yes, I forgot to add – google indexes posts with wrong date – for instance it displays a 2 months old post when I search for posts from last week. The only possible explanation for me is that google indexes it from related posts.

    Got it, found the link which I had to change. It was in nextgen folder, widgets.php

    $out = '<a rel="nofollow" href="' . $image->imageURL . '" title="' . $description . '" ' . $thumbcode .'>'
