• I’ll try to make this simple.

Lets say my site is jane_fairly_unique.com

When I google my name Jane Fairley Unique my blog shows up.

But then further down the google page a blog post shows up, a random one, and then on the next page a couple more. Some images are also showing up on the google search image page.

When someone googles me I really just want to have my main site show up, not these random post’s.

Is there a way to stop this but still have my post indexed? Why is this happening?

    Thanks in Advance!

This can happen only on certain conditions such as:
    1. People search for keywords that can be found only in your site,
    2. Your niche topic/ keywords and phrases have no other competitors,
    3. Your blog/ site is better than all other competitors

I’d go further and say ‘This can never happen.’

As soon as someone links to your site, and in doing so, has actual content on theirs remarking on it (like I blog about Jane Fairley Unique and how she’s totally awesome for bringing me cookies), they will show up in Google.

    That’s how it’s supposed to work ??

You can get ranked higher, but eventually they’ll show up.

Okay, I understand this, but lets say I take a famous blogger in my area who’s done thousands of posts on her own website, (i’ve only done 10 or so).

If you put her name in google you get her website first and then other peoples sites she wrote blog post for, cool, but you don’t see any posts she wrote in her own blog when you search google.

Probably because her name isn’t the keyword ??

If people are looking for me, they look for my name. If they’re looking for my post subjects, generally people google ‘halfelf mountain lion svn’ or ‘ipstenu htaccess domains’
