google Indexing /page/2/ of site instead of homepage

That’s funny. There are various reasons this could be happening. One of them could be that you created and added content to the page/2 first (equals it’s one of the oldest pages on your site), and a google bot found it’s way through it.

You can resolve this by doing any of these:

• You could wait it out and a google bot will automatically detect the content on the home page. This might take anywhere from one week to one month to one year. Google itself doesn’t give any guarantee. Lol.
• You can submit your website’s content/urls. Go to Submit Content > Website Owner
• You can create and submit a Sitemap using Google Webmaster Tools. Doing so might be the best solution for you.
