• Hi all,

I’m checking 404 errors on google search console and one page has me stumped as I have no idea which page it is! The web address giving the 404 error is my homepage (https://www.dtcrafts.co.uk) followed by /?p-3400

Can anyone help with how I can find out what this page is? I’ve redirected other pages where I can see from the url where they should be going but I don’t want to put a simple redirect back to the homepage as I don’t recognise this url (in case it’s some form of malware or other issue).

    Thanks for any help ??

    Debbie

Apologies – typo in the text above. The end part of the url path is ?/p=3400

    Thanks!

Perhaps it’s a deleted page/post. Did you try checking your trash?

    To explain the above question:
These URLs are the “not pretty” URLs that WordPress uses to make a page, a post or (in your case also possible) a product accessible. For example, if you enter /?p=10678 after the URL, WordPress recognizes that this is the ID of a product and redirects you to its correct URL.

The URL you specify could in turn belong to a page, a post or a product that is currently not publicly accessible. For example, it may be in the trash or actually deleted.

However, it would also be interesting to find out where Google got this URL from. It must be linked somewhere in this form and not as a “pretty URL”. So first check whether there is something in the trash.
